Kaleng Waktu (Tin of Time) is a risograph art print that merges nostalgia and modern artistry. Based on a photograph taken by Valensia Harumi Edgina in Yogyakarta in 2022, this design reinterprets the nostalgic ‘kaleng kerupuk’ (tin for crackers) into a functional calendar.
The central element—a ‘kaleng kerupuk’ (tin for crackers)—symbolizes timeless moments of shared meals and traditions found in daily life in Indonesia, reimagined.

“Rahayu” is a beautiful Sanskrit word that is used in Java and Bali, which embodies a heartfelt prayer for peace, harmony, and well-being. As we step into 2025, it serves as a gentle reminder to embrace balance and positivity in all aspects of life—a wish for safety in our journeys, serenity in our hearts, and prosperity in the year ahead.

This A3-sized print is a risograph printed in Osaka, Japan, showcasing the vibrant, layered textures and imperfections unique to the riso printing process designed by Hary Munir Septiandri.
